Our first meeting will be a special gathering on February 9 at 4:00 pm CT. Rather than focusing on a book, we will take the opportunity to meet each other and share ideas about the Dream Big Book Club at this first meeting.

Dream Big Conference 2020
Dream Big: Music Out of Bounds, the first Collaborative Piano Conference ever held in Canada, took place at the University of Manitoba, Feb. 20-22, 2020. This three-day conference was dedicated to celebrating the contributions, creativity, and innovation that collaborative pianists bring to music performance and pedagogy. Conversation with poet Michelle Poirier Brown
Michelle Poirer Brown is an accomplished poet whom I first met through the community gatherings with the Métis Nation of BC. Feeling a kinship, we would meet over dinners, or for quiet walks. She also often opened her home in Victoria for small intimate gatherings where she hosted discussions for groups of women. These were honest conversations that brought disparate people together to share from lived experiences. These gatherings invited us to know each other better, in the search for learning and community respect and understanding. She is an auntie to my children, my sister, mentor and friend.
